Layers of Identity

Life is a constant state of change and we continue to learn more about ourselves the longer we live. What really defines our identity? Is it the government given information? Is it the hobbies we grew up with as a child? Our astrological signs? What sets us apart from the people living life next to us? "Layers of Identity" is a thought-provoking art piece consisting of three clear acrylic boards stacked vertically, forming a cohesive composition. Each board represents a distinct aspect of identity, showcasing collaged elements that progressively become more abstract as you move towards the back of the artwork.

Ireland Collage

This piece is made from photographs I took on a spontaneous trip abroad. It represents individuality, taking risks, and getting the most out of life.

Take the CTA

This started out as an abstract representation of Mondays. I realized the piece could be very successful as a CTA ad to promote public transit over using cars

Judgement in the Eye of the Beholder

A piece about judgement and criticism. No one knows your story yet everyone seems to be quick to make assumptions and judge. The eyes represent how everyone is watching you no matter where you are or what you are doing. The piece is chaotic to illustrate that life is not simple and not a straight path; everything loops around and comes back to you. It’s not about the judgement you receive but how you go on living and presenting yourself to the world knowing that it happens all around you
